Membership Overview

Overview

An application for membership must be in writing on the prescribed form and shall be accompanied by such particulars as may be prescribed by the Association from time to time. An application, unless otherwise decided by the Executive Committee must be accompanied by the application, and registration fee and must upon admission pay a prorated subscription fee for the current year.

 

Application for membership must be lodged with the Secretary at the Association’s offices at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the next Executive Committee meeting, but the Executive Committee must have the right to consider an application lodged on shorter notice being given. Applications for membership shall be considered by the Executive Committee at its first meeting following the date of application.

Parties Eligible For Membership

Parties eligible for EAICC membership are; Full Members, Associate Members, Affiliate Members and Probationary Members.

Full Members

Consulting firm in the Construction Industry who are indigenous Swazis and who, in the opinion of the Executive Committee, possess the necessary technical qualification, knowledge and practical experience or who employ in positions of responsibility a person or persons so as to ensure that all construction projects are carried out in a competent manner.

Associate Members

lt means a person or practice engaged in a profession or business with renders services to members of the Association, provided there is no overlapping of interest with the operation activity of members of the Association.

Affiliate Members

It means any other Association Corporated or incorporated, with objectives similar to those of this Association, the membership of which is comprised of persons or businesses eligible for membership in term of Full Members.

Probationary Members

The Executive Committee shall have the power to decide whether an Applicant for membership shall be accepted as a probationary member for a period not exceeding thirty-six (36) months. Should a Probationary Member, after its probationary period not be accepted as an Full Member it shall have the same right of appeal to Appeals Committee
